This dry red wine is made using 100% carefully selected Pinot Noir cultivated in the Shimokita field of Mutsu City, Aomori Prefecture, and is brewed with an image of the New World style. (It may not be produced in some years.) The color of Shimokita Wine Ryo Selection is a shining ruby. It has aromas reminiscent of strawberry jam, cherry, blueberry, leaf mold, and a hint of vanilla from the barrel. The balance of fruitiness with low astringency and supple acidity creates a silky mouthfeel, making it a bottle to be enjoyed slowly over time.
