Are you familiar with the grape called "Hokuchun"? It is a very vigorous variety that also goes by the name Muscat Hamburg Amurensis, and its leaves are often larger than a person's face. We have aged this Hokuchun in barrels. When you think of wild grapes, you might have the impression that they are very acidic, but since we extended the harvest period to late October for full ripeness, the acidity is not as strong.
The sweet aroma derived from the Muscat Bailey A and Kitashun, which were blended together from the entire vineyard, can be sensed in the glass. The color is very vibrant, and while it seems rich in flavor, it actually has a refreshing taste. It has a light flavor profile with acidity reminiscent of shiso and a hint of sweetness. Please enjoy the long-awaited field blend from the vineyard owner, Yosuke Akiba, and Senmu Winery.
