Only grapes grown in contracted farms within Nagano Prefecture are used. It was carefully aged for 13 months in old oak barrels. Old barrels impart a milder aroma than new barrels. It is finished as an elegant and supple medium-bodied wine.
The aroma is spicy, reminiscent of black pepper and Japanese pepper. It also has a fruity taste like blueberry jam. When sipped, a gentle, rounded astringency and a subtle chocolate and coffee flavor linger on the tongue. This wine has a well-balanced harmony of aroma, astringency (tannin), acidity, and oak fragrance.
