A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and others grown in our own vineyard at 700 meters elevation, aged for 12 months in barrels. It uses the same blend as the Bordeaux region in France (Bordeaux blend). The blend combines the tannins and strength of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness and smoothness of Merlot, resulting in a highly refined wine.
This is the second label of the Château Azumino series. Priced about 2,000 yen less, it offers excellent value for its quality.
When sipped, you can sense aromas of coffee and chocolate from the barrel, cedar leaf-like scents, and rich fruit flavors reminiscent of dried prunes. Upon swallowing, the acidity and tannins blend harmoniously, spreading a concentrated sensation of fruit and extract. With a high usage of new barrels, the barrel flavor is distinctly noticeable. Recommended for those who enjoy barrel aromas. This is a dry red wine with a medium to full body, featuring a soft and smooth mouthfeel, followed by tannins and barrel aromas that harmonize exquisitely.
