The grape variety "Muscat Bailey A," created by Zenbei Kawakami, founder of Iwanohara Wine, will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027. Please enjoy the special vintage of the flagship brand "Miyukibana" made with Muscat Bailey A.
The 2024 vintage features the gentle tannins and acidity characteristic of Muscat Bailey A.
It has been crafted into a wine that pairs well with a wide range of meals, from Japanese to Western cuisine.
This wine was named "Miyukibana," likened to the delicate snow camellia.
Zenbei conducted over 10,000 crossbreeding experiments in Joetsu City, which has heavy snowfall, seeking grapes that are high quality and resistant to disease.
After much trial and error, "Muscat Bailey A" was born.
It has now become the top domestic variety in production volume for red wine grapes.
