Compared to the scorching 2023, the 2024 vintage felt to have slightly less sunlight and lower temperatures.
Due to heavy rain before the harvest, the ripeness was slightly lower, and I was looking forward to seeing what kind of character it would express.
Personally, I feel that this year's wine expresses the individuality of "Hokujun" more than the overripe 2023 vintage.
Also, thanks to the kindness of Alfiole this year, the wine was able to mature slowly in amphorae, resulting in a wonderful 100% "Hokujun" wine.
