At AL FIORE, we accept many contract winemaking projects. Being able to make wine every year with passionate people who share our vision is also one of our joys.
In 2024, a collaboration with Mr. Hiroaki Katayose of Agri-Cœur. Mr. Katayose was drawn to the charm of Delaware grapes in Kaminoyama City, relocated there, and started contract winemaking at AL FIORE in 2023.
In Yamagata Prefecture, a major grape-producing region, Mr. Katayose, who plans to establish a winery in Kaminoyama City in 2025, is a highly respected person who builds trust with many people including farmers and works together to promote the region.
This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from Kaminoyama City introduced by Mr. Katayose and prepared by Mr. Meguro, and Hokujun prepared by Mr. Katayose; the two wines were separately made and then assembled.
There is no difference between people growing grapes and people making wine.
The finished wine reflects the person themselves.
Even if the wines we aim for differ, we believe it is our generation’s responsibility to share the same spirit, protect our communities, and nurture our culture without letting it fade.
If people who share the same philosophy meet at AL FIORE, inspire each other, and the same efforts spread throughout Japan, there is nothing more wonderful.
Winemaking and grape cultivation are 99% tough days, but the 1% joy of everyone saves it all.
We hope to create wines that bring smiles to people’s faces, aiming even higher in the future, and to boost Japanese wine together with local farmers.
