Until last year, Hana was designed with a cute image that had a more charming and glamorous fragrance. While that was appropriate as a more pop wine in the Cat series, it is also true that in recent years, with the quality of the grapes improving year by year across all the Cat series, our experience has also increased, leading to a transformation into wines with greater depth.
In that context, I have been continuously thinking about Hana's character, and in the combination of Stuben and Merlot, as well as between fresh color varieties and wine varieties, I aimed to maintain the essence of Stuben while adding structure, depth, and complexity as a wine. To achieve this, I increased the proportion of Merlot and incorporated elements of oxidative aging in old barrels, resulting in a wine that, while fruity, is not simply monotonous or thin like a fresh color variety, but rather aims for a more lustrous and attractive wine. As a result, the image of Hana as a pure girl has completely transformed into the character of an alluring adult woman.
