This is Bailey A from Mr. Masato Suzuki, former chairman of the Kamiyama Southern Wine Grape Association, with whom we started working in 2021. Everyone in the cooperative is highly dedicated and does excellent work, but Mr. Suzuki’s single spur-pruned Bailey A stood out remarkably. 2022 is the last Bailey A grown by Mr. Masato Suzuki. From 2023, under his support, management has been transferred to his son, Hayato.
Unlike 2021, 2022 had a harsh summer heat and many cases of bunch rot, making it a year requiring very strict sorting and cluster thinning. Nevertheless, we have nothing but gratitude and respect for Mr. Suzuki, who cultivated wonderful grapes despite these challenges.
Thanks to you, the concentrated fruit flavor, smooth tannins, savory finish, and balanced subtle acidity are very strong, and we truly believe this is the "Japanese Gamay" we aim for with Muscat Bailey A. We want to continue evolving this wine, which honors Mr. Suzuki, who entrusts us with such premium grapes.

Surely, there may be few people who can tell just by blind tasting that this is a single-varietal Bailey A wine.
