The Oro release from the big 2021 vintage also amazed everyone, but
The 2022 vintage surpassed even that.
However, the rainy year was tough on the grapes. The harvest was only half of the previous year’s, but through careful selection and cautious production, the quality surpassed that of 2021 despite the smaller quantity.
The Chardonnay from this 11-year-old vine has been nurtured with the love of the wonderful producer Masatoshi Ohno, growing into a golden wine worthy of its name.
Rich fruit flavors, gentle and pleasant acidity, ample body, and a lasting finish.
Each one is perfectly crafted.
Grapes and wine can only reflect nature itself.
It doesn’t always turn out this way every year.
Unfortunately, in 2024, not a single bottle was produced.
