Kimura Sellers

Kimura Cellars was established in 2009 in Marlborough, New Zealand, with the dream of "making wine that overflows with many smiles." We aim to cultivate grapes without using herbicides or insecticides. Since inheriting the ownership of our own vineyard, we have converted to organic farming methods. Although it requires more time and effort than conventional farming, we are committed to creating healthy soil and making delicious wine from grapes grown there. We are one of the few small-scale producers in Marlborough. Due to limited production volume, we cannot offer inexpensive products, but we produce wine with craftsmanship that pays attention to every detail. Our company aims for the concept of "wine where you can see the face of the maker" and "producers close to consumers" who can be close to our customers. There is a new fern shoot native to New Zealand called Koru. It is said to symbolize "new beginnings," "growth," and "harmony," and is used as a motif in the logo of Air New Zealand and in accessories. When releasing our first vintage, we wanted to create a wine logo with the Koru and cherry blossoms, which are also a symbol of Japan. We put the wish for the connection between New Zealand and Japan, as well as the departure and development of Kimura Cellars, into the label.
